• Diwali: Festival of Light
  Sangini takes active role in celebrating traditional cultural festivals as a way to promote integration and inclusion within the communities in Sunderland. Diwali: Festival of Light is an annual event that aims to raise awareness about the Hindu festival where families from all backgrounds come together to share food, music and dance. In addition, Sangini organises participatory Diwali workshops for young people to complement the event. .

• International Women’s Day
  International Women’s Day is an important event in Sangini’s annual calendar of events. The event aims at bringing women together to celebrate their achievements and engender a sense of pride among them. The event is organised in collaboration with other community groups and organisations.
