Sangini is led by a group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to fundraise, develop and deliver activities that benefit the community of Tyne and Wear.

Sreelekha Reddy (Chair)
Sreelekha Reddy founded Sangini in 2002 along with a group of friends to tackle issues of isolation. Over the past fourteen years, Sreelekha has worked tirelessly to bring women from various backgrounds together to look at issues that affect them and inspire them to join hands in raising awareness about it.
Sreelekha has background in running her own business and has promoted Indian food that is healthy.
A highly personable, warm and rooted on community development, Sreelekha has contributed widely to the BME voluntary sector in the Tyne and Wear region. She was given Sunderland Echo Award for her services to the community of Sunderland.

- Project Manager and resident artist
Over 20 years experience in arts, heritage and community development sector. Highly experienced in strategic planning, arts management, women's issues, equality & diversity, governance and funding. As a contemporary visual artist, Padma's practice includes abstract painting and contemporary drawing as primary disciplines.
Miki Z,
- Project support worker and resident artist
Miki Z is a visual artist, natural builder and socially engaged facilitator. Miki's building skills and techniques (lime/earth/straw) are an extension of her practice. Miki is passionate about collaborating with women using building and creativity to enhance personal growth, inclusion and confidence.
Asma Begum,
- BAME Engagement worker and interpreter
Experienced in community development and health issues, Asma's work involves encouraging women to participate, learn and share each other's experiences. She has helped to set up Srijoni group, an active group of women who love creating arts and crafts.
Parveen Abdur,
- Resident artist
Highly experienced in arts and crafts, Parveen helps women to find approaches to self-expression through participatory arts and thus, strengthen their sense of identity.
