The Ektha Group are a group of Sikh women who come together to worship at the Gurdwara Temple in Sunderland. Together they worked with local visual artists Kate Sweeney and Phyllis Christopher to explore memories of migration using photography. The images depict their thoughts and feelings about first arriving in the UK and North East and can be seen in full, in our exhibition in Spring 2014.
