Monday, January 24, 2022 - 15:00

Women Together Partnership is a Comic Relief-funded project co-led by Sangini and Apna Ghar. The project aims to address the domestic violence issues by providing advice, assistance, participation and raising awareness in a culturally sensitive manner by encouraging BAME women to seek help from services that can help minimize their sense of isolation.

Women Together Partnership (WTP) focuses on breaking down the barriers that vulnerable women face by providing black and ethnic minority women with information’s to assist with their understanding and knowledge of their rights and resources such as safeguarding rules and legislation. These aim to strengthen their understanding of domestic abuse and violence against women and girls.

WTP also provides women with the opportunity to learn new skills and gain confidence in their ability to express themselves through art, craft activities and awareness training about domestic violence against women and girls, which helps encourage them to share and seek help.

Art has the capacity to transform, educate, inspire, and drive people, so a part of the project is to provide Art therapy sessions for the women in a relaxing and stress-free setting.

Please watch the space for upcoming events that bring women together to share space, a sense of belonging and support.
