This has been one of the strangest years for all of us by any measure.
We all had to find ways of coping with the pandemic, be it exercise, cooking, learning new hobbies, arts or crafts.
Women from Sunderland Women's Art Group found that ‘felting’ offered not only a therapeutic benefit but also they learnt new skills in making little animals, felted pots, scarves or hats.
Who knew that the ancient skills of working with wool would find its way into our lives to comfort us and give us a sense of sanctuary from the chaos and the malaise outside.
Sessions are held every Friday.
Currently women are learning felting with Lena Archbold
